What benefits has the LoadTrak solution brought to your company?
I want to know where my trucks are, so I can ensure that my drivers are getting their proper rest.
What was your main purpose in deciding to install LoadTrak service?
The satellite tracking system allows us to get messages to our drivers if we need to. This is one of the main reasons that I put the LoadTrak service in, rather than for customer relations.
Has LoadTrak service helped from a productivity standpoint?
Well, I think that it has made the drivers aware that I can monitor them every day to see exactly where they have gone. They are conscious of trying to make proper miles and doing a proper job.
What about operating costs?
One of the things that the LoadTrak service has done is that it has made the drivers a lot more aware of fuel mileage. I can go in and pick their fuel mileages off all the time. The drivers and I have talked a fair amount about how we can monitor the fuel. I also like that we didn’t have the initial cost of setting up the system. You don’t have to have the software yourself or maintain it — you just tie in via the internet.
Does the LoadTrak solution help with safety?
There was a situation where one of the dispatchers went on the LoadTrak service to locate a driver. With LoadTrak, we were able to pinpoint his exact location. Once we confirmed his location, we called for an emergency unit to be sent out.
How would you characterize the customer service and support that you have received from the LoadTrak team?
It’s been excellent!
How do your drivers feel about the LoadTrak solution?
One of the drivers was very upset when we installed LoadTrak, now he is one of its biggest fans.
